On Highway 504, west of Mt. St. Helens
Directions:
- Take I-5 to exit 49.
- Take exit 49 to Highway 504 east.
- Follow Highway 504 east through Toutle, Kid Valley, and continue towards the Johnston Ridge Observatory in the Mount Saint Helens National Monument.
- The Castle Lake Viewpoint is on the side of Highway 504 at N46 17.823 W122 18.119
Description:
The site is a large parking area and viewing area for Mt. St. Helens. The skies are quite open to the south, east, and west.
