Ashford Forecast at Weather Undergound
Location:
Roughly 1 1/2 - 2 hours southeast of Tacoma
Directions:
- Drive Highway 7 to Elbe
- Take Highway 706 to Ashford.
- Turn left on Forest Service Road #59. (N46 45.340 W121 58.140)
- Follow this road 5 miles and turn right on road #5920 - this last road is a bit rough, but my Subaru Legacy made it without any problems. Final site at roughly: N46 46.430 W121 56.860
Site Description:
This looks like a fantastic spot - I've only visited it in the day. The trailhead is quite open and there are at least one or two spots for tents. Skies should be darker than at Alder Lake as this is farther from Seattle/Tacoma.
